Combat Outdoor Cleaning was founded in 2020 by Andy Doyle, working alongside his dad Danny. What started as a two-man operation with a van, a jetwash and a mission to make Manchester look brilliant again has grown into one of the region's most trusted exterior-cleaning outfits.

Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to blast dirt off hard surfaces like driveways, patios and paths. Soft washing uses low pressure combined with specialist biocide detergents and is used on delicate surfaces — roofs, render, UPVC. Using the wrong method can crack tiles or damage render, so we always match the method to the material.
Yes — when done properly. We never use high-pressure jets on roofs. Our soft wash system uses a tile-safe biocide that kills moss, algae and lichen at the root, followed by a gentle rinse. Over the following weeks and months the treatment continues to work and rain washes the dead growth away. Zero tile damage, no dislodged bedding, guaranteed.
For driveways and patios, most Manchester properties benefit from a thorough clean every 12–24 months depending on exposure and how shaded the area is. Gutters should be checked at least annually, ideally after autumn leaf-fall. Roofs typically need treatment every 3–5 years, with UPVC once or twice a year to keep whites pristine.
Absolutely. Every product we use is biodegradable and specifically chosen to be safe around gardens, lawns, pets and wildlife. Where run-off near borders is a risk, we cover or rinse plants before and after treatment. We're happy to shut the dog in before we arrive too — just let us know.
Cost depends on surface area, condition and any extras (re-sanding, sealing, etc). As a rough guide: small patio cleans from £80, average driveways £150–£300, full driveway clean + re-sand £300–£500, roof cleans from £350. We always give a fixed-price written quote before any work starts — no meter running, no surprises.
